Description

Pernie top is a short summer top cut for those days when you’ve dressed up with a high-waisted summer skirt, or when it’s so hot that your tummy needs as much air as the rest of your body. It should be a little shorter than you might think. However, you can add extra length to the top before dividing it at the armholes if you like.

The top is worked flat bottom up and consists only of knit stitches, creating garter ridges. The edges in stockinette stitch give the top a neat finish, allowing it to maintain its shape. Pernie top is open at the back and fastens with snap fasteners. The neckline is close to the neck, which is why you have to open the top button at the back to put on the top and take it off.

Size guide:
Choose a size that is approx. 10 cm slimmer (negative ease) than your bust measurement.

Needle size:
Circular needle 4 mm (60 or 80 cm) for body, front and back piece.
Circular needle 3,5 mm (40 or 60 cm) for all edges in stockinette stitch.
